I don't know for sure that none of the other ABF's have their own blogs, but I don't think they do. You really are part of an elite group! ;-)
Below, you'll find posts from the first two lessons in the adult Foundations class. You're clever, and I'm sure you'll figure this out on your own, but you have 2 options to listen: 1) You can listen online through the mini player embedded in the post or 2) You can download the recording so that you can copy it to whatever device you want and listen to it whenever you want. Let me know if you have questions. Also, big thanks go out to Chris Ehrlich for helping me record these...I really appreciate his help!!
That being said, you'll notice that the volume of the recordings on these first two lessons is fairly low and there is a lot of background noise. That's not Chris' fault! We're just dealing with the less-than-ideal recording environment and the equipment we have to use. We're working on a fix that will provide better recordings in the future. In the meantime, lessons 1 and 2 are probably best listened to using earphones cranked way up!
When we use visuals in class I'll try as best as I can to post visuals to the lesson posts too, and you'll notice that Lesson 2 has some graphic visuals of what I sketched on the board in class. You're welcome!
Lastly, you WILL have the ability to post comments to lessons too. Feel free to use those comments to ask questions, converse or otherwise interact with me or with each other!

Are quizzes expected to be made up for missed classes? Oh, and may I humbly suggest that anyone not turning in homework be conscripted into doughnut and coffee duty for the next week's class? I, for one, prefer apple fritters ...
ReplyDeleteHaha...I love the donut idea!! As far as quizzes go, (and I'll try to touch on this during our next class too,) I'm not EXPECTING you to do anything. This falls under the category of "You'll Get Out Of This What You Put Into It". If you WANT to make up quizzes and such, I'm all for it and I will definitely make them available for you. But that ball will always be totally in your court...I won't chase anybody down or try to force anyone to make stuff up.
